Pre-Finished Furniture

Designed to be Built for a Lifetime

Our showroom offers a wide variety of Canadel Pre-Finished Furniture.

Made from solid Canadian birch from the forests of North America, Canadel furniture is designed and created with durability, exclusiveness and style very much in mind. All the way from the forest to your dining room, this mature fiber species is sustainably managed with the greatest respect for the environment. Canadel furniture is a responsive investment today for tomorrow.

Like Canadel, we are a family owned company. We believe in manufacturing a product that is hand-assembled and hand-finished in North America.

All Canadel furnishings are made of North American solid birch. To protect the wood they use catalyzed finish coatings, which are synthetic lacquers modified with nitrocellulose. This combination produces a finish that is highly resistant to marking and staining. Maintenance is easy—a damp cloth is all you need.

Like Canadel we've always considered wood as a noble material, and the respect we feel for it is reflected in the final quality of all our products. Through all phases of production, they maintain a respect for nature and the many years that have gone into growing the wood they use. All cardboard packaging is made from recycled fibers and they distill and reuse all paint residues in their production.

With over 25 years of experience in manufacturing custom dining, the Canadel vision endures - offering personalized products tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer's home.

Canadel is not the only brand we carry for Unfinished Furniture.

We also carry Crawford Furniture, Vermont Tubbs, John Thomas, Furniture Classics and more...

Crawford

Crawford of Jamestown was founded in 1883. All of their wooden pieces feature a RICH 14 to 15-step hand rubbed finish. These pieces consist of 100% solid wood being purchased within a 150-mile radius of our factory located in Jamestown, N.Y. Having to deal with the ever-changing seasons of Western New York, their lumber is thought of as the best in the industry. Each wooden piece is constructed to the highest quality and then followed by a rigorous inspection process.

Crawford has a wide selection of hardwood furniture that will complement any room in the house. Many of our collections offer a broad array of pieces to choose from. Crawford is also recognized as a “Style Leader” in both the bedroom and dining room industry. Some of our choices include refined American Traditional, Stately Queen Anne, Classic Country, Modern Eclectic, Shaker, Victorian/English, and Sophisticated Rural.

Furniture Classics

Solid wood and traditional construction details are themes throughout product composition and design. Using kiln dried woods consisting primarily of mahogany, oak, pine and teak, our craftsmen combine these timbers with traditional mortise, tenon, dovetail and dowel joints creating exquisite pieces of furniture. “Tenon through” and “dowel through” constructions are evident on many items. Naturally these old world techniques are combined with modern glue and screws where craftsmen have deemed necessary, but this is all part of bringing increased value to customers.

Vermont Tubbs

One of the oldest and finest names in New England furniture, Vermont Tubbs, can be seen in some of the best furniture showrooms in America.

The Vermont Tubbs story started in 1840, when William F. Tubbs began steam bending ash to produce durable, handcrafted, snowshoes and skis. The Tubbs name soon became known for excellent workmanship in producing their hardwood products.

Handcrafted hardwood beds are the cornerstone of Vermont Tubbs' collection of fine furniture but their high quality workmanship does not stop there. For instance, chests and dressers are fitted with an adjustable dial located at the bottom of each drawer box to keep the spacing on the drawers even in any climate. Each drawer is also dove-tailed front and back and equipped with hidden, European, self-closing and self-cleaning glides.
